Synergistic Creativity (SSC)

What we mean by SSC. Synergistic (Symbiotic) Creativity treats AI as a co‑creative partner inside human‑led workflows. We use structured prompts, dialogue checkpoints, and audit trails so the human stays director, AI stays tool, and outputs stay accountable.

Purpose. Build, test, and share practical methods for using AI to accelerate helpful work—letters, tools, analyses—without losing judgement, ethics, or accessibility.

Who it’s for

  • People developing resources (letters, guides, protocols) who want safe, faster drafting.
  • Practitioners and advocates who need traceable reasoning they can stand behind.
  • Collaborators interested in method, not hype: clear steps, repeatable outcomes.

What you’ll find

  • Method cards (5–10 minute runbooks) for common tasks: drafting, refining tone, summarising evidence, extracting actions.
  • Dialogue patterns (MQ checkpoints) to keep agency with the human and prevent drift or overclaim.
  • Audit templates to log decisions, sources, and changes (who decided what, and why).
  • Style kits for plain‑language, trauma‑aware, and accessibility‑first writing.
  • Worked examples taken from live initiatives (Athenian letters, self‑harm language guides, access reviews).

How it works

  1. Frame the task: purpose, audience, constraints, and “done” definition in 3–5 bullets.
  2. Co‑create: use a method card + dialogue pattern; capture each turn’s decision in the audit template.
  3. Ground & verify: link claims to sources or lived evidence; remove anything unverifiable.
  4. Human edit: enforce plain language, equity and accessibility checks, and context fit.
  5. Publish & learn: release the artefact; record what helped and what didn’t; refine the method card.

Ethics & guardrails

  • Human direction: people choose goals, accept/reject outputs, and own the final result.
  • Transparency: say where AI helped; keep a lightweight audit trail.
  • Safety: avoid clinical claims; escalate to professionals when needed.
  • Accessibility: readable typography, high contrast, and versions for screen readers.
  • Privacy: no sensitive personal data in prompts; anonymise lived examples.

Early outputs (rolling)

  • SSC Method Card set v1 (drafting, tone shift, summary‑to‑letter, evidence scrub).
  • MQ Dialogue Patterns v1 (checkpoint prompts & “stop/go” tests).
  • Audit Lite template (one‑page log for decisions and sources).
  • Worked Examples Pack (Athenian letter, Youth self‑harm language guide, Access review).

Terminology note: We use SSC to emphasise human‑led co‑creation; AI assists but does not replace professional judgement or lived‑experience authority.
